There is nothing wrong with being proud of who you are, especially if there is discrimination. Just because you find it stupid doesn't make it so. Also, there is still a fair amount of discrimination still.
What I find stupid is, "I'm proud because I'm discriminated against!" If you were proud of whatever you were regardless of discrimination, that's different. But when you do it just because, that is groundless and hollow.
And, no, there's really not. Maybe some dumb 14 year old who trolls you over the halo channel or something, but you don't get boo'd out of Game Stop, or harassed and berated on gaming forums. There really is no discrimination anymore. The little that there is, can't even be called discrimination because it's just stupid people saying stupid things to yank your chain.
what bothers me is that most girls make it a big deal and only do it for attention.
guys normally don't troll chicks who game, but if those girls say shit like "oh look i have titties and a vagina and i play video games don't hit on me u silly bois" they're just asking to get trolled.
long story short, no one cares about your gender when it comes to video games.
Like I said. Trolls. They're not forcing you out of Gamestop or refusing you service. THAT would be discrimination. What they're doing is called Harassment, and you can't be certain that they're doing it because you're a girl. Maybe they don't like your shirt or something. Or on the contrary, perhaps they find you attractive and are just trying to flirt or something. Either way, even getting bothered while online, that's STILL not discrimination. It's just petty annoyances.
There needs to be if there ain't. I WOULD JOIN! XD *this is the one who sits on her ass all day waiting for new Megaman and Pokemon games to be released* I'm... a fangirl. I found your stamp because I was looking for a girl gamers club. No such luck though.
I love playing video games, because I like to feel like I'm a part of the story. It's so much fun, and I don't know why people always put it down so much, or why it's labeled as a boy thing. I'm a girl gamer! ^_^
